Research Narrative:

The kidney is one of the most vascular organs in the human body.  Our laboratory is seeking to understand the mechanisms of vascular injury in the kidney and offer solutions to accelerate the repair process.  Our latest work analyzes the regenerative capacity of cells found in the renal artery of people at risk for kidney disease.  Cultivation of such cells offers a potential therapy to patients during a future period of declining renal function
