Edit Profile

Research Narrative:

Dr. Baron has an interest in acute lung injury and in the laboratory investigates mouse models of lung injury as well as molecular pathways of lung inflammation. She is involved in a number of research projects which seek to elucidate ways in which the inflammatory cascade of sepsis and lung injury can be averted, as well as in identifying molecular targets which can be intervened upon to alter the disease process. Dr. Baron's current clinical time is spent caring for lung transplant patients, and her clinical interests cover all of pulmonary disease, with an active teaching role within the Department of Medicine.
